Heart palpitations following mushroom consumption

Since taking mushs a week ago, my friend says she can feel/hear her heart beating, and couldn't before. The previous time she took mushrooms (summer solstice last yr) she also noticed this problem(?), which gradually decreased in intensity until disappearing jan/feb. Could this be a long-term mushroom-induced physical change in heart-rate, etc? Or a long-term (but not permanent) mushroom-induced increase in heart/body awareness? Can anyone else suggest what this could be? Has anyone experienced this or anything similar?
Many thnx! - A

I have a slight variation of this same thing. I can feel the blood pumping to every extremity (toes, fingers, earlobes) and forcefully too. Each beat is a powerful gush I can feel. This started after a few trips some time back. Not sure how to explain it except for some change in the nervous system or a physical awareness of some sort.
It may sound freaky to you, but it really doesn't bother me. It feels "alive".

hmm intresting... yea, i too can hear and feel the blood being pumped round my body, especially when I'm trying to go to sleep at night and its quiet - i sometimes have to change position because I'm lying too close to an artery and the sound/feeling puts me off sleeping. I didn't notice this suddenly starting, not sure how long i've had it, quite a few years at least tho. I just thought it was normal
