I dont see not putting some spawn one top as being a real problem. Just a benefit if you do it.

Your seeing my poking up because it will grow out in all directions, so some bits are on the top. But if that poo isnt fully colonized (which it isnt yet) it wont fruit, until it is. That will lead you to not see fruits for probably 1.5-2 weeks at least...birth it now, and patch it...and I'd keep patching it for the next 4 days if it keeps comming up heavy and doesnt slow down when you birth it..otherwise you may be in for a bit of overlay. All in all this shouldnt be a huge problem though...horsey poo would work out with most anything you do :smile:

You can add sterile verm to the pre pasteurized mix, but you may end up messing up the water content if the verm is to wet or to dry. I mix verm with my poo before pasteurizing, about 20% I'd say. Its a help but I dont know that I'd recommend it being added to poo already pasteurized, and already with a perfect water content. Coir works well to get a nice texture too.

Sounds good this time though other then that! add some verm to that starter mix though...that will be needed IMO..they put in very little verm and its powdered almost.
