#392954 - 09/12/01 10:56 PM (25 years, 26 days ago)

I have used BRF for awaile now and would like to try a grain substrate. I want to know if finch seed can be shaken up like rye grain? Do you have to use verm with finch? Witch is better Rye or Finch ?

I am going to case with peat moss and verm.

Finch seed can be shaken but shaking increases the risk of spreading contams that can destroy the cake. Verm is not necessary but it helps prevent contams.
