Finch seed?

I keep reading posts about people growing mushies on finch seed, but they never say which kind of seed they use. Most finch seed mixes contain several different types of seed. The majority of finch mixes contain mostly red and white millet, but usually have thistle, canary seed and flax, as well as several other kinds of seeds in them. Which seed is the one people use as a grow medium, and if you can use a mix, which one is the best?

I think most would work, the question is how well...Ive read to use "any seed that is mostly millet.." so you could probably use straight millet...I personally, after reading every tek i could find have decided to use 80% millet andthe rest cooked brown rice...maybee with some flax thrown in.I feel that a variety of nutritional sources is more likely to provide a complete source of ..well...uh..nutrients. In nature mycellum never grow in only one thing or another...my experience tells me to copy nature... Course fungus may be too basic of a life form to need anything more than just one kind of grain...but i think anything that make psilocybin cant be all too basic...
