What is the benefit of drying?

If the magic's there it's there, no? Would a fresh harvest be less impressive than a dry one? I've picked up that drying is good for preservation... but what if you want to eat them right after the harvest...?

1. I cant stand the taste of freeshies.

2. Dry ones keep longer w/o molding/decay.

3. Dry is more potient per gram. Eat a 1/8th dry instead of a quad or more of freshies.

Did i mention I cant stant the test of wet ones?

another reason is that wet mushies are harder to dose corectly because water content varies. but if you want to eat them strait off the cake, more power to ya. :smile:

u can cap them , they shrink ! um u can say that there ur grandfathers dick (when dry that is) i dunno well i suppose if ur not gonna eat ur yeild all at once theres not much point not to dry them.

If you eat 3.5g dry for a dose, you will need to eat 35g wet (still same amount of shrooms but a little bigger). The taste is worse and the chewyness isn't good at all. I would imagine that when wet there may be a little more actives per mushrooms since there will be a little decomp on drying. Taste is the main factor though if you aren't going to store them.

I, myself, love the taste of fresh mushrooms. I ate 20 grams of fresh PESA right after I harvested them. They were delicious. I noticed it took longer for the effects to set in though. But, like I said, I love fresh ones. Peace,Love,Happiness and Harmony. :heart: Hippie Chick  :mushroom2:

Im with hippie, i love how they taste when just picked. I think they taste worse when dried. Cutting them up and putting them on pizza is excellent. In my opinion fresh work alot better for cooking and different salads and recipes than with dried.

Benefit of drying = preservation.
Fresh they taste much better, and like Hillyychick I cant control myself during harvest and often put some freshies to the tastetest.. :grin:
