micron disks/microwave sterilization?

ok, whats the concensus on using the disks and sterilizing my quart jars in the microwave?

i say do it. throw a disk on top, secure it with a rubber band or anything thats not the metal lid retainer, keep it moist and nuke 1 quart jar about 5 min or so depending on your microwave. the substrate will swell up like mad so make sure your disk is on there good or it may pop off.
