Fundamentalism and the perfect religion

I think fundamentalism is the downfall of every religion. If you could make a religion which made it impossible to take a fundamentalist approach to it, it would be a great religion. Discordianism is kind of like this. Many people here have a "faith" or belief attached to shrooms. I dont think it is possible to become a shroom fundamentalist, to the point where you live your life for the trip and try to tell everyone they HAVE to eat shrooms. Then again i revert to one of my favorite quotes....
"If an idiot proof product is ever invented, someone will create a better idiot."

Perfect Religion?
Isn't this what started most of the large scale wars to begin with throughout history (that and resources, but religions are a big factor)?
A: My religion is perfect B: My religion is perfect C: My religion is Perfect A-B-C: Let's have a war and find out shall we?

Ok, this is my point. These wars were created out of Fundamentalism (and other things). The whole basis of fundamentalism is that you KNOW your religion is right and everyone elses is wrong. Everything is taken literally and should be followed to the strictest letter of the law without any room for error.

If there is ever a fanatical shroom religion I think we should call it Fungamentalism. I know, bad pun, almost too cutesy to exist. You can spot the shroom fungamentalist because you can punch them and they turn blue.

I think no religion would best suit this problem. But then there would probably be non-religious fundamentalists. Anarchism is the solution, baby. Because no one would give a fuck anyways.

Why is it that if all else fails we tend to want anarchism?
I dunno, what solution would Anarchism provide? We'd end up going through the same ol' shit over again and bitching about it till we wanted Anarchism all over again... I see it more as a medium of transfering power then a potential form of stability.

Surely everyone involved in a religion must believe their religion is correct. Otherwise they are knowingly following the wrong religion. Personally i think the best way is to simply think for yourself because (discounting the possibility that every religion in the world was created to the will of god through millions of true prophets) religions are just moral rules invented by other people.
