Are foaf's babies o.k?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me just what might be going on here. Thai Koh Samui, colonized in 4 weeks, cased in verm exactly two weeks ago, no sign of contams. The only problem is that there is no sign whatsoever of mycelium wanting to grow up through the verm layer. So foaf decided to peek and see what was down there. Looked like one big healthy blob of white stuff, smelled mushroomy. Have been putting the cases in indirect sunlight for a few days. even the only thing visible to me is the vermiculite on top. There is only about 3/4 inch deep verm layer. Should I go ahead and cold shock? I'm worried that by the time these cases get around to pinning, alot of valuable nutrients will have been wasted. First time jitters, probably, but 6 weeks and no sign of action, I'm getting impatient. Thanx all.
