Ok, i think my GT syringe is having some problems. Ive tried multi-spore innoc on about 6 jars. 0/24 shows germination after 2 weeks. Ecudors and Koh Samui are loving the same substrate with multi-spore innoc. Determined not to give up on the GT's i decided to do honey water. I brewed up the 4 honey waters. 1 eudor, 1 koh samui, and 2 GT's. After 1 day im starting to see "puffballs" in the ecudor and Koh Samui honey water. Nothing in the GT's. After 1 week Ecudor and Koh Samui honey water is super clowdy with mycellium and i finally see SOMTHING in 1 of the 2 GT's honey water. Its just 1 small puff ball that finally started to grow. My question is. Should i take the work and try to innoculate jars with the GT honey water that finally germinated. I dont want to waste my time on jars that arent going to produce. Good results. So bassically, does slow germination show a weak or poor strain? -baraka

My brother's Ewok got some GT spores off Anno. They were slow to take off but they are pinning nicely now. Sounds a bit like a duff syringe doesn't it?

Baraka! Stay with those GTs - they are a great strain!! I have never been able to germinate them in any liquid medium, so ive given up on that - but i would use the liquid innoculate on some jars for speedy colonisation. ive found that my GTs perform better - germination of all multi spore innoculation - with a very high BRF level in the substrate (2 cups of verm to one cup of BRF) - they seem to colonise drier substrates well too... Great mycelium, nice and milky...good luck. If your still having no luck in a couple of weeks, i should have some nice GT prints i can send you...
