My 2nd flush

Done a search of posts regarding this matter...but I have a question..first flush harvested...there are several pins that have not grown...they do not look like aborts...I read that you should reapply some casing material and mist...should I cover the pins with casing material? Wont misting hurt the pins also? What should I do?

Patch the holes where you harvested the bigger mushrooms. How big are the pins? If there are a lot of em and decent size I would let them grow. But if not i would pick them too and patch the casing and mist then wait for your second flush. Hope That helps ya out some. I'm sure someone else will come along with more advise. :wink:

The pins range from a 1/16th of an inch to 1/2 inch...no growth though........

I would not pick them. Pins/primordia come in on your first flush that dont get used until later flushes. I would leave them. The ones that dont grow and turn black/white were aborts. If you dont get any/many of them, then you did well in choosing. Dont cover the little guys though. Only cover holes and heavy white spots that may end up being overlay as the casing goes on.
