waiting for 2nd flush

Hi all, I had a decent first flush on dung cased in coco-verm. It was exciting. I harvested. Now I'm waiting for 2nd flush. The thing is stalled. Lots of TINY tiny abhorts just sitting there getting fuzzy. Moisture is good. I filled in the sides with more sterile casing. I fan once a day. It's been like 3 days and no change in mycelium or anything. Is it the tons of little abhorts that is preventing the start of new fruiting cycle?

Are you misting? Is the casing dry?

Well, I didn't mist till today. I said I'd pick all those abhorts today and do some scraping or something if the situation was the same. I did and as I picked a few abhorts it became fairly evident that moisture doesn't seem the problem. The casing material is still nice and moist. The substrate seems pretty moist as I picked off a few abhorts. So, figuring maybe I'm just being impatient, I misted a little and closed the terrarium. Thanks.

Yeah, maybe some more fanning. I'm against TOO much fanning and messing with the casings in general but I'm probably wrong. I rthink I'm gonna scrape the abhorts away with a clean fork and apply some more sterilized casing material and mist. Thanks

If your casing already fruited it may not colonize the new casing layer. It must be in the incubation stages for the mycelium to colonize.
