I Don't Know if I Want to Start Smoking Again

I've been on a break from marijuana since the night of the Superbowl. I'm seeing Interpol live tonight and the whole plan was to have a 22-day Superbowl-to-Interpol break and here I am, and I bought a gram...and I don't even know if I want to smoke because I'm enjoying my break. I literally 50 percent want to and 50 percent don't want to. And I dunno what to do. My friend Larry says stick it out another 6 days and make it an even month. I dunno.

Well I know I want to start smoking again in general, maybe I didn't make that clear. I'll be smoking pot till I'm on my deathbed, at which point I'll be eating it. Today is a special occasion, a show with my girlfriendand best friend thaqt we've been looking forward to for-fucking-ever..

Yeah I don't get the conflict. If you're gonna smoke for the rest of your life, why even bother trying to take such a break? Your tolerance is never going to come back even close to what you want it to be at. Just smoke it if it's a good occasion.

If it was me, I wouldn't smoke it and stop smoking pot altogether.

It had nothing to do with pot so much as willpower, a test of my own willpower to give up one of my favorite things in the world for longer than I had ever gone without it.
I'm an aspiring writer and I felt that my mind was too hazy to draw on the experiences around me anymore, I was in a total drought, and I wanted to clear things up a little. It worked too, I started writing again.

Well then maybe you should stop? Sounds like it's doing you some good. Pot isn't THAT fun. I'd say writing a damn good story is better. Not that I'm a writer, but I would hope that people who have a passion for it enjoy the shit out of it.

I'm not interested in extremes of either doing it or not doing it, I'm just searching for some moderation by experimenting with an extended stint of sobriety so that I can get into a more moderate schedule of smoking it.

Pot is THAT fun, in my opinion.
