Ever win anything in the lottery?

I'm becoming addicted to these instant scratch Bingo tickets. I just got a ticket that was $15! (Most I've ever won from a ticket) So I'll use that to get 5 more tickets, lol.

Everytime I scratch, I know the damn computer purposely comes up with those formulas that brings you so close to winning, but no dice.

I also got my ticket for that fat $24 Million Super 7 jackpot.

I won 2 dollars once. I turned around and bought 2 more. Lost.

Those are a waste of money. Another example of how the government doesn't really care about what's good for the people or what's addictive. If you want to gamble, learn poker or blackjack, at least it's possible to win at those.

A couple of things -

One - I do not think the government created the lottery system to create an avenue through which people would become dependent and addicted to gambling.

Two - People who are addicted to gambling would be appaled at your assertion that it is bad for them. They LOVE gambling. Like I LOVE drugs. It may be self-destructive and horrible for their lives but fuck 'em, if you are dumb enough to piss away your life because of the possibility of winning a 23 BILLION SUPER-POWER-BALL LOTTERY 2K5 than you deserve whatever ill effects come.

Three - Without the lottery many states would be at a loss for a way to create dependable and tax-free revenue that primarily goes to their education systems and social services. I would rather see 100 people at a Gambler's Anonymous meeting than 10 children not receiving a proper education.

i won 50$ on one of those scratch tickets

i use to play them all the time when i worked at a grocery store

my gf wins 50 bucks frequently. i dont play them. any kind of gambling game has odds against you. thats why they are there. there are mathematical odds against you.

That money which goes to schools was quickly subtracted from the state's education budget so don't think any students will benefit. Don't play lotto.
