A Shroomery world gathering (outside of the US!) would absolutely kick ass!  I think a lot of people would just stay and start a community there.  :thumbup:

First thing I'd do is see how much the Russian's wanted to give me a seat on their next rocket up to the space station. Once I'd acheived my life long dream of going to space I would worry about the rest.

I would put a large chunk of it into investments, as well as starting businesses of my own, and increase it into billions.

When I became super-rich, I'd pledge to match every dollar the government spent on anti-drug propaganda with an equal or greater donation to pro-legalization organizations.

I would donate another chunk of it towards alternative energy(though I would already have some of my own businesses dedicated to this) and ending world poverty(not through handouts, but by teaching people and governments how to end poverty in their countries).

Other than that, I'd buy a nice house, set aside a couple million for personal expenses, and give the rest away.

Philanthropy aside, I'd buy a house off a semi-obscure reef break in central california, and fill the garage with a perfect quiver of surfboards for the various conditions. 

Inside the house there would definitely be a recording studio, top of the line shit.  And I'd have an instructor on retainer to help me operate everything and teach me the niceties of music production and recording.  I'd have a wall of guitars, a Hammond B3 Organ, a grand piano, and a grip of funky synths.  I'd have copious amounts of various types of drugs and host epic jam parties.

$40 million. Hmm.  I'd give a good chunk of it to my parents, and pay off their mortgage debt, so they never have to worry about not being able to afford it.  I'd pay for the rest of my little brother's college (he's got 2 years left at Harvard).  I'd pay for my little sister's college, when she gets there.  I'd contribute a ton of money to Parkinsons Research.  I'd pay for the best at home long term care that I could for my Mother, when the time comes that she needs it.  I would buy  3 houses - 1 in Massachusetts, with a good portion of land, but close to my family and friends.  1 in Vermont or Maine - 100 acres or so with a cabin and a lake would be nice.  Fuck having neighbors  :tongue:  and 1 someplace warm, maybe Antigua.  I love it there.  I'd pay off my car loan, and my credit cards.  I'd buy season tickets to the Red Sox and Patriots.  Since I wouldn't be working any more, I'd start investing in real estate, buying lots of multi family properties in locations with good rental markets.  I'd probably be able to open a zoo with the amount of animals I would buy.  Buy, 1st I would volunteer to be a foster home for a local animal shelter, I think that would be really rewarding. I'd buy my fiancee all kinds of nice stuff, because he probably paid for the winning lottery ticket in the 1st place  :wink:  The rest I'd invest, and make money off the interest.

If I won the lottery...I would invest in the highest quality printer I could get my hands on, then I would take all this art I've been creating, make limited edition prints, and market the shit out of myself. I'd pay off all my stupid piddly little debts that I've incurred over the years, then try to estimate how much I have cost my parents and present them with that sum of money.
