The general membership is not at any significant risk. Again, it would take a significant amount of time and effort to crack a single password from an MD5 hash. Realistically, doing this to every member wouldn't be feasible. Additionally, as some have pointed out, there isn't much to gain in so doing, since all that can be done is coming in here and reading your PMs (which are limited by time constraint anyway), and then maybe flood the BB with your account or whatever the hell would happen. The only reason I suggested changing your passwords is largely for piece of mind. It would be advisable, but this is not cause for emergency concern on the part of our users. We're only trying to keep you informed.

Having seen this thing from the inside and the out, being the devil's advocate for so long mostly behind closed doors. I can say that, though 3D's actions, while not kosher at many times, can be understood in the context of a person who feels like they were abandoned. Doesn't mean what he did or is doing is necessarily right. But I think it can be understandable why one would feel and act out like he has done.

On the same side of the coin, treatment of 3D by the admins hasn't always been kosher at times, but at times definitely warranted too. As thescientist said, this is a big game of he said she said with lots of quarks woven in.

All I ask, is put yourself in either of the two positions. I know we're loyal to shroomery, but don't forget 3D was admin of shroomery and was very loyal to it too, so loyal he wanted to come back even when he was wrongly defamed at times, or when deals were perceived as not being held up. Don't forget that for some of you OTDers he brought OTD back for you while some of us, me included, were gunning to continue with the "closing of OTD experiment." Does this make him a saint? Certainly not, but he's not the devil he's made out to be. It's noted here he hacked tdub. Definitely not one of those kosher things. But I would safely bet a bit too that he never did anything to hurt shroomery intentionally like was done to tdub. And I don't think 3D is out to get any general members, this is drama between him and the admins.

His recent actions have certainly made some rethink their support of 3D, and it's no surprise. But simply try to understand his position before throwing stones. Because I would bet quite a lot that many of you would perhaps act the same. Remember that a lot of the story some of us have heard came directly from our current admins. Not saying that they've intentionaly skewed anything, I would have faith in them not to. But we're getting information from a side of the debate that was heavily emotionally involved and viewed things in their own human and natural way. What they say certainly isn't gospel based on the fact that they are humans too and perceive things as humans do, with their own thoughts intentions and desires.

So in conclusion, I know he doesn't seem like the angel at the moment, and perhaps certainly isn't in a lot of our eyes just because we'd like all of this to end, I know i want it to end, and it's certainly made me question why i bother to defend and listen to anything said by either side anymore - echo geo's sentiments here. But all i ask is to try to understand both sides before making final judgement. Rationality is always better than emotionality.

No I am not sure what happened actually. I would like to if it's not a big secret. I just think that if anyone is going to attack a community as great as this one then they need to be stopped. ... not killed just stopped.
