Where Has All Of The Content Gone?

Perhaps it is extinct. :shocked:

Is failure to express valid perspectives and viewpoints pertaining to Spirituality and Philosophy out of laziness or just a plain lack of perspective a sign of spiritual development? Idle discussion with pseudo-intelligent overtones is key, apparently.

In all seriousness, much of this can be demonstrated through history, as with the arts of cinema.
I remember reading an interview with George Lucas, and the interviewer asked him something along the lines of why movies seem to be lacking in quality..
George Lucas said: "Usually 90% of movies have always been garbage, throughout the past and will always be."

A businessman I knew online once said: "You don't cater to the idiocy of the masses with quality material. Take a look at the ratings of the most popular, viewed TV shows across America, and compare them to the real, down to earth, programs that actually have quality substance."

Such can be demonstrated in this forum, as well as the pub and especially...OTD. :wink:

this strikes me as extremely elitist. (which, uh, I take to be a bad thing.) there's always gonna be people out there dumber than you, and while it may be your job to provide them with information and help them achieve non-dumbness, it's not your job to categorically condemn them to other 'dumber' forums.

speaking of which, shouldn't this thread be in 'Website Announcement and Feedback'?

I have not categorically condemned anything here, but I will acknowledge that it is my job if I decide it to be. :lol: There is a diffference between merely observing overtones and "categorically condemning".

I doubt that it should... why should it be? This thread is ripe with spiritual content, no different than any other recent thread. It asks questions concerning spiritual issues. The simple question "Is failure to express valid perspectives and viewpoints pertaining to Spirituality and Philosophy out of laziness or just a plain lack of perspective a sign of spiritual development?" more than qualifies this post for this thread. I haven't noticed any definitions of how much content is required, through simple, recent observation, I would assume not much is required at all. This thread is completely within the clear. :laugh:
