Potency seems about average for the first and second flush. Third is drying right now. I will know how good the big guys are in a week or so.

the flushes look cool, but for the amount of substrate, yields should be much higher.

derx,
yes the yeilds could be higher, and there are ways that i could help that out, such as pacthing after i pick, soaking the substrate after flushes, etc. But i did this big tub because i am lazy, and its alot simpler than making 8 smaller casings and taking care of them. By the time the tub is done flushing, I usually see 8oz or so. I am pleased with it.

allright, estimating that 1 quart holds around, say, 200 grams
of rye max .. that grow seems to be just around 1600grams of rye ..

You sure? I read that one liter of rye weights aprox 720g.

currently i have no room for a martha. I already have all the stuff for it and am planning to run one in my new house. When i do that, all of the tubs are going to be premade like in Magash's thread "what do you guys think" to maximize lazyness.
this works fine for me now.

Note that the airpump is one with dual outputs, each one with a T split, thus running one pump to 4 identical tubs with no problem. The timer for the pump is 1hr on 1hr off incase you didn't catch it...

Your talking dry rye. If you soakd that 720 grams of dry rye in water you'd end up with around 2200+ grams of wet rye
