MM Discs with my invitros

I already posted this question in cultivation, but perhaps I didn't phrase it well ... and it's prob. better off here anyway ...

I have 5 jars B+ that I am going to try to grow invitro. They are 80-100% colonized already. If I empty off the top layer of verm/tinfoil and put a Magic disc on instead (leaving the 3/4 inch or so empty so as to give them some room), would I be at greater risk of contams?

if the cakes are 100% then it should be okay, if not then you are possibly chancing a contam.

I would suggest using a humidified incubation chamber if your going to use the disks. They have a tendancy to dry out your substrate.... In a tub with perlite, you should be able to keep the humidity up enough so that your substrate won't dry out.
