It's amazing what context and clever editing can do...

It's fair to watch both sides of an issue, there is also a movie called fahrenhype 9/11 which is a direct response to fahrenheit 9/11.

Really, Moore is known for being sensationalist and playing with things...

it doesn't matter that much the order and edit choice, if the facts are striking enough. i'm not talking about ownership of companies etc etc, or even the usa/saudi money links, just the fact that bush spent the 7 minutes after toldbout the 2nd plane hitting, looking shifty and keeping on talking goats to a class of under-7s. is that leadership? :confused:

I had already figured Bush our before Farenhite9/11 hit the stores. I knew he was playing the system when he got elected the first time.

I have a hard time dealing with Bush supporters.

yes he is. the saddest thing is that outside usa, nearly everybody has figured that out, and treats all americans accordingly. we sorta decide that if you elect a fool as your leader, that makes you all fools.

thank god for the shroomery for giving me the other side of the coin - plenty bright folks here, but even you guys are exposed 24/7 to the us party line. sigh.

moore may be a bit of an over-zealous idiot at times.. which seems to detract a lot of people from taking his stuff seriously.. but regardless he brings up many many good points and facts. He's not afraid to do or say whatever.

I have to ask.. what things were taken out of context in F-911? The part where he goes to Iraq and the civilian woman is crying and screaming to god because the americans killed her whole family? What's so out of context? Or the part where he finds that woman who lost her son in Iraq, and she goes to DC to get answers and gets none? What's out of context? That IS the context. Bush family with Al-Queda? No distortion of facts there.. this is real life folks.

Sure... a lot of it is highly emotionally charged. And for good fucking reason. The man is trying to make a point. You may not agree with his style, or whatever.. but the issues he brings up are REAL issues. he's part of the yin to the yang of corporate media.. who likes to brainwash the populace with taking things out of context and clever editing, only in the other direction. Fox News much? About as fair and balanced as bill gates eating a feast in somalia in front of 300 starving people.

bottom line is.. Moore has balls, and he's out there doing his thing trying to get people to think. He may push some buttons here and there.. he may distort a couple facts.. and he may not be the smartest man in the world.. but so fucking what.. compared to what his opposition is doing.. he's mother fucking mother theresa. He's closer to the truth than half those douche bags on TV.

I just don't see how people can call moore a crackhead or whatever, when all he is doing is telling it like it is. People say he's twisting facts and shit to suit his own agenda. And what the fuck is the Bush administration doing exactly? Fight fire with fire motherfucker.

Not to mention farenheit 911 is pretty light. He had to edit out about half the stuff before they would let him release it... hence the release date kept getting pushed back for almost two years. F-911 barely touches on some important issues. There's another (foreign) movie like farenheit 911, that came out last year and supposedly goes into MUCH more detail about a lot of things moore left out. I can't remember what it's called though.

this is the exact attitude that perpetuates this madness. You have about 400 million americans saying.. I don't like it.. but there's nothing we can do about it.
