Difference between PF Style and Finch Seed?

Can Someone tell me the diffence (general) in yeild between PF style and using Finch seed in jars? Also, a few pro's and con's would also be greatly appreciated.

i'm not sure if you wanna use anything but the finch seed but i could be wrong. i just keep thinking that when my two finches at my house that they liked the finch seed pretty good. i didnt really try to feed them anything else though. they looked pretty healthy. always glad to help, fred

If both the brf jars and the finch jars had the exact same treatment, the finch seed would produce bigger yeilds.

But brf could produce bigger yeilds if it was done right, and the finch seed wasn't...

Is there any difference in potency from shrooms grown on one substrate from another?

Well yes, but it's not just the substrate that can effect how potent the shrooms are. It is the amount of humidity, water, fresh air, light, etc. that will also effect potency and yeilds.

i am doing an experiment right now on that subject. i had 12 jars, 3 were finch and 9 were normal pf. i did a three casings with two jars in each, and let the rest grow other ways. i made one casing with two finch cakes, one with two normal cakes, and one with one finch and one normal. there is diffenately a significant difference. first off. the fich colonized one day faster, just to clear things up. the brf casings have larger shrooms (they grew faster, thats all) and even though there are tons of shrooms the finch casing has more and its still pinning, but they havent started to have there growth spree yet. the finch ones also look darker, like a redish brown cap, and the normal ones are more of a tanish orange color. on the mix you can really see the difference! since i made the casing with the finch substrate on one side, and the normal one on the other you can see like a step take place, and the theres more pins on the other. i havent picked any yet, and this is my first time using finch so i cant compare yet. all the shrooms look really healthy, with small white "shavings" on them. oh ya, and the strain is pes hawian.
