Rainy Day Suprises
    #3629680 - 01/14/05 09:06 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

I found these on my nighly runs...wondering if they're anything to jump for joy over. Any one know what they are?

BTW, there is a HUUUUGE patch of these. After the latest rain in California...I'm not suprised.

ok there they go...

HM I dunno, I see no bruising around the base... that would be a clear indicator they are not active

I don't see any bluing, and P. cubensis doesn't grow wild in California. You must be hallucinating.

Dude if you pick cubes in Cali, we definately need pictures. As far as we know, they don't grow in Cali.

It's not blue. Psathyrellas do not bruise blue. And P. cubensis has never been reported from California. So stop OK.

I've found those before and was unable to identify them also.
The patch contained many mushrooms that were at least 1'' apart.
All grew near a horse pasture underneath a stacked pile of old wood fencing.
