grass in casing

What if you spread grass seed into your casing mix? And the grass seed grew out at same itme your flush did... wtf would be the benefits, if any, of that?

Wtf indeed. The grass might give your mush a little extra oxygen between fannings, but I really don't see the point. Grass in my casings would just annoy me.

Well, I think maybe it would also feed a little more nutrition into the casing and give it a nice ph... but hell, maybe Im wrong.

For casings sitting in a terrarium it would be more bothersome to plant grass then to just leave it alone. The true benifit of growing grass on a casing is if you were to stick the casing outdoors. The grass would provide shade and the humidity needed for fruiting. And grass wouldn't add any nutrients, it would be using nutrients.

great idea - then you could feed the grass to a cow, and the cow would eat it and the mushrooms accidentally...
