i used to. i stopped for similar reasons. teh whole scene is bullshit. id rather be out in teh snow busting my ass making better money than putting up with twinky whores bitching about how many options their cell phones have.

only thing worse are the people who own these places.

i feel for you man. life is nocer on the other side of that world.

I hate dealing with the public too...some people can be so annoying.., I am working fast food, I know..I have done better too, but you got to pay the bills and other things somehow...

I worked at Blockbuster a few years ago, and it was a joy to deal with people with lots of late fees. A joy. It's crazy how people got over that...we had movies, money, random objects thrown over the counter at us, yelling and screaming...it was unreal.

I work as a receptionist at a small, casual salon right now...the customers aren't so bad. My only complaint is that people come in and mumble really softly to me when there is a stylist standing 5 feet from me using a loud blowdrier.

Retail sucks. Customers suck worse.

People can be so rude to me and it just doesnt faze me. I kill assholes with kindness it pisses them off even worse. Put peopel on hold that bitch on the phone and never come back hehe.

I work in retail as well and have been for 2 and half years. It sucks. Balls. Hardcore. I know what you're talking about, and feel your pain. People are just so stupid sometimes, and ask some of the dumbest questions. Everyone should work in retail at least once in their life to realize what we go through every day.

I've had stupid ladies bitch over a $0.10 difference in price for some cat food. Yes, that's 10 CENTS. I almost punched that bitch.
Some dude chewed me out because his whore of a wife asked me the price of a piece of furniture and just stood there, not having the gaul to speak up an ASK for me to get her the god damn thing. So I went to help another customer and came back to see if she made up her mind and her husband almost knocked my head off.
Every day at least 3 people can't READ the fucking ad signs hanging up, or see a big 50% off NEAR an item they chose and expect their item to be 50% off.

Yeah, fuck retail. Fuck all retail shoppers. Fuck stupid people and stupid questions. Fuck asshole customers. Fuck cheap asses.

the worst are the people who give you shit you have no control over whatsoever (long lines, for example). this is because they have no experience in the matter - they cannot empathize with you. I have worked my fair shit of shit jobs and I know how it is - I avoid giving people shit and just say "no worries - it's all good."

Customers should just be happy they aren't working. You should keep a piece of paper in your pocket and when someone pisses you off just whip out the paper and tell them your on the list, and then go back to helping them like nothing ever happened.

Yeah, I hate it when I'm shopping and someone makes one of the employees of the store I'm in feel like shit because of something they can't control. The employee usually apologizes to me for the wait or whatever, but I just tell them I know how it goes with retail, and try to make the asshole customer feel like a douche by making fun of them to the employee. If I can't piss off customers while I'm working, I might as well piss them off in someone else's store while I'm shopping.

Or when people let out those huge sighs like "oh god, WTF?" when a cashier has to go do a price check. I just turn to them and say something like "ya know, it's not their fault so just chill the fuck out." They usually say some asshole comment back or just up and leave the line for another one.
