Prints on paper good-bad for syringes?
    #3582515 -

Would prints taken on a notecard (re avatar) be ok for syringe making? Or would it be best to take them on tinfoil?

It is good. You have to dry it(as every print) before storing.Tinfoil is good too, the spores tend to stick quite firmly on foil. If you use foil, make sure you use a thick foil, the thin one tends to tear when you scrape the spores off.

prints taken on notecards need to be scraped extra hard and tend to have bits of paper in the syringe, but it hasn't hurt anything with me yet.

wax paper also works well.

I prefer cardstock to foil, because the spores clump on the foil and the foil is too flimsy, making scraping spore off very difficult.

Paper card stock is fine , but kinda tough to scrape the spores completly off when making syringes , no biggie just a quirk .
Aluminum foil is good , but like Anno said use thicker stuff it takes abuse better than cheapo foils . The new Reynolds non stick is good , but be very carefull when you go to open it up , the print will litterally flake off as a big waffer , very easy to make syringes this way , but very easy to spill spores also .
Some folks do them on petris.
Some make pouches of wax paper sealed with impulse sealer .
Some folks do them on glass slides .
Lots of ways in time you will find what is best for you and your pocket book .

a friend was making them for a while on photo laminating sheets...

they're sterile inside, and protect the prints well... the only drawback was that the spores didn't stick well to the plastic and would fall off... there was also a problem with static electricity attracting the spores instead of letting them drop into solution when scraping them...

after using these for a while, my friend went back to index cards...

If printing on any of the harder plastic sheets, or PP & static electricity is a problem. There is a way to eliminate it, using an Aerostat.

suimush,
the only concern is making a syringe from a wild print. It will probably dirty. Also, if this is the case, cyans and azures would be a better choice for outdoor cult nstead of those fibs if that is what you are doing. Fibs are taking over and the cyans need our help

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
