confused when making a syringe from print.

ok syringes cost avg. $15
a print cost avg $20

What or how many syringes can i make from 1 print..??

The way i understand this is_
clean boiled water, let cool in a shot glass,
then scrape the print in the water with a bent x-acto knife,
then draw the print or Print(S) in the syringe.

#2 How much water to use You think...?
#3 I got a jar. Like 1/2 pint wide mouth ball jar full of spores from a local friend..
Is that the amount right..?? i gave like 50 for it.deal?

  No deal.  You gave a "friend" 50 dollars, for a jar of spores?  :confused:  First off I wouldn't call anyone that charged me that much for spores a friend?  Secondly, I've found that working with jars is a pain in the ass, but you may find it easy.

  What do you mean by "what"?  And how many depends upon the size of the print.

Depending on the size and how dark your prints are determines how many syringes your able to create.

It doesnt take a lot of spores to make a syringe. As long as you can see a little, your str8 beacause there are many you cant see.

There are many ways to make syringes, do a search or read the FAQ and see what works best for you.

You better pray your friend took sterile prints or else your fucked!!
For $50 the bottom of that jar should have been dark as fuck.

OK. I wanna order some prints from the little guy.com but im really wondering which way is the best value/money.

prints i do my self = possible save $ ??
buy the syringes with it already there ??

With Thelittleguy's prints about how much water??
A shot glass or the 1/2 pint Ball jar. im just confused at the size vs. how much water..

If this is your first time, and it sounds like it may be (no offense), I think it will be easier if you get a syringe, making a sterile syringe can be tricky for some one new to this, and if you order one from a vendor, you are nearly certain to have a sterile, viable syringe.

All you need is 1 syringe to make as many prints as you want.
Right now they have 4 different strains going for $4 each syringe.
Plus you get a free syringe with every order.

yeah im kinda new to this.
Ive Read and Read every tek and page for assistance but it really shows no justice till i try alot..

AND Hey
thelittleguy.. i looked on you site for the 4 different syringes and their types but i didnt find any that were 4$ a syringe..anywhere. was i missing something.

I actually read a post from july that said the different types but if you could post those that would save me a little time..

So from what i understand NOW
all i need is just a little of it scrapped off in the shot glass right!... then i can seal the print back up and wait tilll i wanna make another..
p.s. i have a box of 100 syringes i just got for like 25$ YES 1 1/2 syringe,10ml

FYI:
Im fruiting some unknow B+ right now, i have 45 jars i just innoculated last week.
probabbly $150 invested in sterlite bins, heating pads, cool mist. timers. lights,and junk junk +3hygrometer.

Im not trying to be a smart ass about it im just saying ive done my homework and have something started.. im trying to give myself some credit here.thankyou very much though for all you help

I am growing shrooms for my fist time also. To make the syringes, all I did was boil some water for like 10 minute, and while it was still boiling I would suck water into the syrings, let them sit there a couple minutes.....squirt the water back, suck up more, let sit couple min..........then I sucked up water one last time and let the syringes sit and the water cool inside them for like 3 hours. Then I scraped some spores into the bottom of a wineglass(shotglass is probably better), and squirted the syringe water into the glass. Next, stir it all up with the needle, and suck it all back up. Oh, and doing this all on the open door of your oven is good for sterility. This is my very first time growing and ALL 12 jars colonized using this method. And I didnt even pressure cook the jars....just boiled them. Maybe I'm just REALLY lucky, but I wasn't very concerned with contams, and was expecting alot of jars to be lost, because I wasnt very sterile in my methods. But out of the 4 syringes I threw together one day, all 4 are growing very well right now. So yea, thats my syringe making advice, and its very easy to do. And I guess the other thing I was getting at, is dont be OVERLY concerned about how meticulous you are. Sure you have to take some precautions, but dont panic and think you fucked everything up just cause you didnt do something the EXACT way some guide said. Mushrooms can be grown very many ways, and will do well in a variety of different conditions. Just follow a few basic rules and you will grow mushrooms. Oh yea and read the FAQ. Hope this helps, KEG
