Is it just me or everytime anyone is coming down off shrooms
do they get depressed. I've been on shrooms 5 times and everytime I get depressed.
Does this happen to any one else?
I ain't happy,

For me it is just the opposite....I usually feel very fullfilled and content. All my problems seem insignificant compared to the larger problems of the world. Are you depressed or do you have bad trips. Usually even when you come down from a bad trip you aren't depressed. Are you using other drugs that may be comtributing to the depression? I wish I had an answer for you but I don't....take care ok.
Most of the activities described above are dangerous and/or illegal and none are recommended.

I've tripped probably 50-60 seperate times, and, without fail, I've felt GREAT during the comedown. Maybe a bit tired, but on the polar opposite of depression.
I'm at a loss as to what would cause this, other than psychedelics effect everyone differently...

I have a friend who ALWAYS gets depressed when he's coming down on shrooms. Lately he has started to get depressed during the trip, as well. I don't know if the same thing will happen to you...but be careful. You don't want to ruin shrooms for yourself.
I'm just like you, I think. I don't always get depressed but sometimes I do when coming down. It's not so bad, though.

I'm afraid I'm one of those trippers who has only (so far) done acid, but almost every time, unless I've smoked an incredible amount of weed or combined it with other drugs, I've felt very very alive afterwards and clearheaded. Probably something to do with the fact that I almost always get a personal issue resolved or understood while I'm in the "state of grace."

I think it greatly dippends on your genral state of mind, ecpetially just befor and around the time you trip. On the way down I often find myself becoming exctreamly honest with myself. Anything I might be subcontiusly feeling gilty about or anyway at all about really comes to the serface and can't be denied. Its a very introspectiv excperiance.

This is probably totally wrong, and i dont have too much experience with psychedelics, but maybe it's because your disappointed the trip is ending, and some things are still unresolved. I dunno though, again, i have very limited experience, but i thought i would give my opinion.

Serotonin levels are drained during tripping. Lower levels, may cause depression, it's also normal for people who smoke a lot of weed to feel alittle down the day after. Tell your friend to try being well rested before the next trip or trying some over the counter herbal concoction such as L-5.......

I get depressed coming down off of weed (so I'll just smoke until bed time).
Coming down from a trip I feel strong because I know that if I can survive a trip I can survive real life.

..definitely mentally exhausted, and maybe a little sad the trip is ending, but never really depressed. I'm pretty good with comedowns on anything...but I do know quite a few people who actually get depressed and are a bitch to be around for at least a day after the trip.
I do not regret the things I've done, but those I did not do.

i have had depression for a few years now, (its finally letting down though) but ive always felt very very alive and fulfilled when coming down from trips.. like my depression doesnt even exist.. like i've been to the corners of the universe in my head and chased it out..
in fact i think psychedelics may have brought me out of my real-life depression.. i think they awoke my unconciousness, and i was finally able to see the beauty in the world, and depression sort of hurridly slipped out of my mind..
fuck counselours, take some acid or shrooms and realize who you are inside and what matters to you.
ive actually gotten depressed during an acid trip.. i think i took a weak hit and it wasnt working too well.. and maybe the fact that i wasnt tripping good made me feel like a failure or something.. it wasnt a very good night
the night i took an 8th of gold-caps at the Pantera show however.. that was the best night of my life.. ive never felt so on top of the world coming down from that

i have tripped of shrooms five times also. the only time i got depressed was when i tokk way too much (27 grams of almost dry shrooms, they were in the dessisant chamber for five days and it usually only takes eight to get fully drie) i think the reason that i was depresed was because i forgot how to talk and saw some scary shit happening to me and my friends. i also think it had to do with my recent acid abusiveness and that time i did 27 grams was the second time id ever done shrooms. i get rather depressed from weed and i also get (not depressed) but angry at the world when im coming down from acid (because people have no clue what theyre doing to themselves and there children and how the whole society is just becoming retarded) i dont want to explain everything so thats enough for now. it helped (when i was on the 27g.) to just tell myself that its just a drug and it will wear off.
