Are we seeing the first stage of the Revelations

If you read the bible.. you will be as confused as I was with the book of Revelations.. Seems like the approach of 2012 and the new age of Nuclear and climatic shifts are taking place. I mourn the loss of SO MANY LIVES in India and surounding areas.

Just wait until all the sickness and pestilence that come from this flooding starts up next month. There is going to be millions of deaths in that region and it will be quarantined from the rest of the planet

Wow, a major ecological disaster and all the bible thumpers start screaming "revelations! jesus is coming!". A bunch of people died 'cause they lived on the coast and a huge wave came. Big deal  :shrug:

I'm pretty paranoid lately after hearing of this catastrophe. I need a reality check. It's a freaking earthquake, they happen, right? It doesn't mean that the sky is falling, or that the world as we know it is ending, right? Earthquakes have occured since the beginning, so why is everyone (including me) freaking out about this one?

Because in a day when we can predict these things we didn't. With all the war going on and natural disasters are going to feel worse. The fact is that this earthquake has hit the worst place for spread of disease's. The nastiest plagues come from that region over the past 100 years. The fact that the only sickness that has been beaten is smallpox. And they still have it in a freezer. All the massive outbreaks of the past can still happen they just need a incubator. Now they have one :sad:

Perhaps the 255,000 people who died in China in earth quakes in the early 1900's were also a sign of the end times.

This is nothing. Tsunamis, tornadoes, shitsumis all come out of the word work of mother nature. Some days God gets lonely. Other days He does not.

Nothing will happen in 2012. There will never be a rapture, and I'm betting that God isn't going to make another journey into the flesh anytime soon. Chances are he would meet the same fate or end up in a mental institution. Depending whether he pops up in the third world or the first.

Don't get me wrong, I am NOT thinking 2012 will be the end.. It is the BEGINING of the end, and now is the begining of the begining..

Ok Ok, it is all lies, this shit is ordinary, etc.. COngradulations, when you are vaporized by the atomic bomb .

Fucknuckle makes some good points though, bible related or not.

In earlier times, MANY more people than 23,000 would die due to a large tsunami like this. We are, in fact, LUCKY to have only lost 20,000+ people.

Mourn the dead. Do not turn their deaths into an apocalypse.

the tsunami was fucked up...what's even more fucked up is the lack of help that area will recieve because we are too busy fighting each other. this could be a time for humanity to pull together, but I have yet to hear any ideas from anyone. furthermore, we have the technology now to be able to help others with housing and electricity, but why do that when we can just sit on a computer and talk about it.

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

nah the world is ending. Biblical or not biblical. Well i say end of the world but its more like end of the world as we know it.

Just a matter of time before we are all annihilated. Ive been having crazy visions lately about this. I know its coming... and i know theirs many people who will agree with me as well.

That kind of earthquake is huge and comes along rarely, but it doesn't mean the world is ending. 

I am in Houston and Houston had snow for the first time in like 50 years.  It snowed somewhere near here and they hadn't had snow in about 100 years.  It was a light gentle snowfall that dropped about a half inch.

The earthquake caused a lot of death and devastation.  The snowfall didn't.  Both rarely happen.  Neither means that it's the end of the world.

Am I making my point?  :shrug:

and yes it is an incredible and mind rupturing frusteration that humanity, in an age when it could unify and progress beyond the wildest dreams of our ancestors, when hunger and disease could be vanquished, enviroments saved, peace between nations met, science advanced, knowledge expanded...

we blow each other up like a bunch of fucking testosterone junky baboons.

the only solution that keeps me sane is to detach myself from world politics and focus on the politics of the soul, and the beauty remaining in the world.

People like to think that humans are above nature......I have a feeling that unless we change our ways, this type of thinking will be devastatingly disproved.....it's amazing how many different possibilities for destruction there are. Thanks for the link.

The signs that Jesus gave to look for are very obvious in their purpose; to get the ATTENTION of the planet before it is too late. Is it strange that you are paranoid? Is it strange that you are scared? No?
