 Purple/pink contamination.....ARRGH! I.D.? Source?

All of my aquantince's 12 jars(first attempt) got an evil purple/pink contamination that went all the way into his cakes. Doozer posted in cultivation with a picture of EXACTLY what most of the jars look like...except his looks even darker pink than the ones my aquantince has. The guide lines were followed according to PF tek perfectly...and MM filter discs were used. 2 cakes were dunked for the hell of it and the water turned PINK...lol... ARRRRGGGGH! The cakes smell perfectly normal..mushroomy smell. There are also what looks almost like black pins that do not grow. Where in the hell could this stuff have come from and what the hell is it? Sterilization time was 11/2 hours...no it wasn't just me...least I don't think it was all instructions for PF tek were followed to the letter. Someone else said it was bacteria ...it has no smell though. If my aquantince's other 24 jars end up like this he will probably say 'SCREW IT!' and give this B.S. up for good. It doesn't pay to wait 2-3 weeks just for some g/d contamination to show up and ruin it ALL.
Any assistance is much appreciated...

Nevermind. It's from the f'ing SporeChick syringes...has to be. ALL 24 other jars have the same g/d thing starting at the innoculation points. Begginers luck.

I know the feeling. My first attempts began with a set of contamed syringes aswell, although from a less known vendor. I lost two cases of jars to green mold, that started at the innoc points. Damn them shady vendors!

Hello all,
I know someone who personaly orderd their first syringes (4)from the sporechicks. First 3 batches came up with the same purple/pink color. He just used the last syringe today. I wonder what will happen to them. He orderd more from the Hawk. He has not recieved the next experimental syringes yet. He thought he did something wrong but the color was in every jar. He doesn't know what to think but he knows not to give up.

I ordered from the Chicks as well. As fucken purple/pink contamination. Emailed them 2 times. Haven't heard a peep from them. What bad business. I guess I will have to order from another vendor. What a waste of $40!!!! I am very disappointed at the sporechicks.

I do have to add that the 4th syringe seems to be working good. So 3 out of 4.

yeah i got the same result. I ordered 2 and one of the two did that to me. So far the six of the 12 jars are looking good.

Well my last syringe/ jars just bit the dust. The puple crap was there. My other experiments with another company are looking good. Thats life

Next time go through Sporeworks.com they are kick ass, I received my spores within three days, and they are all really dark prints, excellent colonization too, on all three kinds.

I try to grow all I need in the winter it seems to eliminate 90%of my contam probs
