occasionally when i sleep long enough my dreams become tangable to me. for instance there is a point on my back that horrible creatures seem to target. this point was attacked again for the second time. the creature reminded me of a cross between a fish and an intestinal worm with a sucker mouth and fangs. this shit is really starting to freak me out. because the pain is there wen i wake up but fades quickly. the little bastards go after my feat asswell. dos this happen to any of you.

lol all the time, just not monsters fitting that description. usually the "monsters" are more realistic, such as teachers failing me, my mom finding some of my drugs, getting in trouble with the law, falling off a cliff, etc., but the second i notice im dreaming is when i notice the monsters cant hurt me, even tho im thinking that im feeling pain in the dream. all my dreams are nightmares

Don't panic, it's the other way around. You might be having a slight back problem which is triggered by the position you sleep in, and in that position you start getting those aches, and your dream mind interprets that as monsters attacking the aching point. You wake up, you shift your position and the ache goes away. It is kinda like when you wanna piss at night, at first you dream of toilets and water running and stuff like that, because that's the interpretation your dream mind gives to the physical sensation. Don't worry and see a back doctor.

I think gribochek is right, but I have some seriously whacked out dreams myself. A lot of the time, I will start to actually feel physical sensations in my dreams. I don't think this is actually possible, but it does happen. I figure it's just my mind creating an illusion and I interpret that illusion as physical sensations.

exactly, i sometimes "feel" things in my dreams, usually only if im being attacked or something. maybe its caused by synesthesia just like acid trips ... i see so many similarities between dreams and trips its amazing. are dreams at all caused by natural tryptamines in the body? or do they at least play a role? it seems so ... i know how serotonin affects dreams and all but i think tryptamines may play a role as well.

My dreams are all like really whacked out psychedelic adventures. So, eh'em, that's my excuse for sleeping all the time! ;-) Hydro has spoken! Please! Tell me about the fucking golf shoes!Edited by Hydro on 06/23/01 09:28 PM.
