I think it can, it thrives in environments that are (to) humid. But I'd wait the experts advice. Sometimes its hard to tell the difference between cobweb and mycelium, they say...

I lightned the pics but it's still a little hard to be sure. Give it a few more days and you'll know for sure.

you can certainly get cobweb in the jar, its kinda difficult to tell if its mycelium from the pans or cobweb with the pictures, I'll do what I can cobweb is a light grey color and generaly will grow a great deal faster than your mycelium, 5 days is pretty fast even for a culture
the mycelium will be more clingy to the grains, a little denser than cobweb and definately a white color.. you can give it a few days to be sure, allow it to fill out, if it gets greyer or forms little black spots, its positive that is cobweb.

From my experiance, Pan myc is much more "wispy" looking than other cubes myc.
So, its a toss up, because your pics are tough to eyeball - well. But.....P#1 is right .... 5 days is very fast, so it may be a contam. Cobweb moves VERY FAST. I have seen it creep across a 24 inch long cased substrate, in 3 days
I never had cobweb in jars - or bags, only on casings.
Example of COBWEB on a cased substrate surface.

I've inoculated cobweb to both jars and bags... a 4lb bag of birdseed was colonized and sporulating in a little more than a week. in 2 weeks it looked like dark grey polyfil.

maybe you should search out some of my earlier posts, I got bored with growing mushies before I came to the shroomery, I decided that molds and bacteria could prove an interesting subject. I have a culture for a superstrain of cobweb if you're interested... you cant effectively combat them if you dont have the samples to work with.
you should read my horibly failed coffee tek, it predates the hippie version

I offered, everyone wants a superstrain until it comes to molds...
my coffee/WBS colonized very nicely, it took on several nice shades of brown and yellow, its only problem was fruiting... coffee grounds dont hold enough water to do anything, I thought I would give it a few years and see if I can revive a culture from the dried mycelium...

OK so its been 5 more days i killed all but one jar and put the last jar above the fridge. it is still the same color not gray but not as bright white as the cube. myc. also there is no black spots and the outer part of the wbs is completely covered. also it seems to be holding the wbs together very tightly. pics
