true in Bowling for Columbine he did use some pretty lame editing and propaganda techniques to push his views (would be forgiveable but the movie wasn't even all that entertaining whereas Farenheit 911 really is at times).

But the question here is about Farenheit 9/11 not Bowling for Columbine.

I suppose the truth can be derived from these two articles, i've read neither.

Moore is definitely guilty of selective editing and cuts (in columbine) and using dramatic music to push his viewpoint - some montages in Farenheit were bloody brilliant i must say.

But hey wait a second it IS an editorial/documentary where said cutting and editing is allowed, what's worse is Fox News proclaiming it is fair and balanced using editorial techniques and presenting it as news not to mention just fabricating crap!

I'm not going to wade through all the information available on the internet and i know everything must be taken with a grain of salt as ppls credibility especially on the internet is variable.

However I have watched many other programs commenting on America and their policies (such as those by John Pilger) commenting on the Bush Election Fraud and their neo-colonialist / running the world foreign policy etc... that do not have this entertainment element such as moore flicks and can say that with reference to these other programs moore is spot on.

I havent seen the celcius flick but i hear its not so much about proving moore wrong as much as a smear campaign. It seems all those wanting to debunk Moore are right-wing blindly-patriotic scum that hate any dissent and resort to smear-campaigns.

Furthermore if Americans feel so strongly about the truth being told then i cannot understand why anybody watches Fox 'News'.

With their talk of the upcoming election being 'only 30 days until bush is re-elected'-(something like that) I believe many people voted for bush because they thought he was the only choice. The rest are there just to give the illusion of choice but really you must vote for bush.

but i digress - it's just that Fox News is disgusting!

Ya, I'll admit Farenheit was a bit more fair, but in a sense I liked Bowling For Columbine better, mainly because he wasn't just going after one person. Farenheit 911 was an all-out character assassination.

I think alot of what Michael Moore says stands to reason. What are we? Stoopid??
Yeah, he's a left wing reactionary self publicist, but he does his research. The evidence is irrefutable.
Just recently, the BBC broadcast a series called The Power Of Nightmares, about all the ways that our governments like to keep us in the throes of fear and panic for their own unscrupulous reasons.
There is no such thing as an intricate and worldwide terrorist organisation called Al Qaeda.
There is no such thing as a "dirty bomb".
Yeah, terrorism exists, but not in the way that US and UK governments would have us believe.
Dirty bombs were tested decades ago, with little positive result.
While they're scaring us about these things, what are they REALLY up to?

i saw farenHYPE (not to be mistaken with moore's movie) 911 a couple of months ago. let me just tell you that it is the lamest piece of shit documentary out there. some of the things that they say on that movie tries to discredit moore's findings by saying "even the democrats do it..." one example they used is of the bush family's ties in the carlyle group and how they say "yeah but not only is the bush family inovolved but senator so and so who's a DEMOCRAT" etc.

they also get some idiot who has no political ties at all to make lame ass comments about moore through the 2nd half of the movie. the whole time i was watching i was wondering ok...who the fuck is he...and in regards to citing their findings...there wasn't any citings at all...

The Power of Nightmares Documentary was 100 times better than F9/11 or anything Moore has done - fear is the weapon of mass distraction! It was both the funniest and scariest documentaries I've ever seen.

It's a shame that the most visible spokesperson against the right in America always comes off as such a pompous arsehole.

Roger & Me is the best thing Moore ever made - before he adopted his self righteous, man of truth pose.

And I kinda like the guy!

I'm happy to see some people in opposition to moore's documentary that is very good thing to do. Dont trust anything till you are sure on the facts but sad to say once you piece toghether not just moore's findings but ones of many many others.. Hell just fucking look at bush in his speeches he doesn't know what the FUCK he is talking about half the time

All moore does is Highlight how much of a fucknuckle bush is, all those who really want to see it and don't buy into the great american 'news' programs will see this for themselves. Provided they haven't already be conditioned by this 'anything anti-bush IS anti-american and i love america' crap.

Isn't it hillarious how bush has the nerve to but into Ukraine telling them they need just elections or whatever it is he said, after cheating his way into his 1st term in office. Meh whatever, just a bit of humour. I'm not sure if most americans realise that he DID cheat his way into office. How can a man like this be respected - on this basis alone, it makes the notion of democracy in america a joke.

Furthermore there are plenty of other reasons to dislike this man - i should say this administration. I'm sure bush is a great guy, in his primitive right-wing evangelist christian, creationist sort of way. Not the sort of person you can hold an intelligent discussion with - let alone be 'in charge' of the world, but i'm sure he'd be a great golfing buddy.

It suprises me that people on THESE forums admire bush. Haha are you going to bring up your mushroom use with your next chat with Bush, he'll burn you at the stake! anything magic is the work of pagans and hairydicks(heretics).

So bush cheated his way into the 1st election, but americans voted him into this last term - America deserves him, it's a true reflection of the population, real democracy! (with about 50% voter turn out)
