Once a person is slutty...are they always that way?

Or can they change?(I should mention that I am referring to both male and female sluttiness)

In my opinion, they don't seem to. They say, "oh, I've changed blah blah" and then the next week you hear about how they had sex with four people in one day recently. I really don't think they change. Once a slut always a slut. Once a cheater always a cheater. This is how it seems to work out in my experience.

People can change, but they don't change overnight. It usually requires a lot of effort and discipline to make a fundamental change in one's personality. It happens gradually. I for one have long had a tendency to be a bit too clingy in my romantic pursuits. I've made a lot of progress in this, but it's still a bit of a problem. A slutty person will not likely become celibate in a day, but they may gradually start to be more selective and show more restraint.

people can change but it takes a LONG time. or a serious event to make them realize it. i speak from observation of a friend.

Depends who they are, and why they do it.
I guess I can only speak for myself ultimately. I've been a terrible slut for all of my sexually active life, but I like to think I've finally got a handle on the rules now. For alot of women, it's all to do with self esteem, wanting to feel attractive, wanting to be loved, etc. I'm not saying women don't enjoy sex, but alot of them do it for a different reason to men. In the past, I've found it hard not to give myself to a man that makes the effort to say I'm desirable; it's like giving something back for the "compliment". How sad and desperate is that!?!
Anyway, for the first time, I've found I actually like and respect myself a whole lot more than I did. I have consequently learned how to say "no", which is just as well, as I'm in a very long term relationship (13 years!) with the best man in the world...
Wish me luck in my quest for monogamy!

I happen to know a girl that went the opposite way.  She went from the type of girl you'd like to get with and start a life with when we were in high school, to a weed whore basically.  So beautiful, but knows that she has what guys want and will flaunt it in your face if you have something she wants... not that it's always a bad thing, but it is if you think of all the other guys she has done it to in the past 3 years we've been out of high school.

So yea, people can change.  Especially younger people (20s) because we're still defining our moral boundries and making decisions that will affect our personality on a daily basis, even if you don't realize it.  That's how we mature, we slowly define the person we want to be, and that's how people will have to go about their changes.  Re-assess their previous morals and thought processes that put them in the situations they don't want to be in any longer.

Eh, starting to rant I see.. so I'll quit. :thumbup:

Anyway, Loosifa.. 13 years is a hell of a long time.  Congratulations and good luck, but stay off the coke ok?

Isn't that so weird how the girls that start out the most innocent and promising end up to be the BIGGEST whores?  It's like they hit a turbo-slut phase.

Drug whores are the worst.  You know all they want is whatever the guy is going to offer them.  I have known SO many girls like this.  The weed whores are a hell of a lot more tolerable than crack or meth whores(ew....they are soooo nasty).

By the way, considering that we reside in the same part of the country, maybe you should give me this girl's name.  I might be able to track down some dirt weed and try to impress her.  I haven't gotten laid in a month and a half and I am desperate.

That is true. Whenever I see a girl getting slutty it is almost always because the girl wants attention and feels flattered by guys looking at her. But, don't girls realize that a lot of guys will fuck anything that moves? When a guy hits on you and tries to get you into bed, it doesn't mean he thinks you are attractive, it means he wants to get off...even if you are a hog.
