Iodine to water

I've heard several people post about using iodine in their PMP's water supplies as it breaks down slower, and is much more concentrated. Just wonder what kinda water to iodine ratio is used? I have a bottle of it, and plan on using it in my PMP but can't find a water to iodine ratio.

it just takes a few drops for a gallon.

1-2 drops per gal. is all that is needed.
