I can see sort of a similarity... I think Hurdy Gurdy man is one of those songs off in it;s own corner.

They are both psychedelic in their own right. If I remember Hurdy Gurdy man correctly its got a lot of reverb or echo. I dig 'Crimson and Clover' by Tomy James and the Shandells. It might be another good match
