Well these babies finally started fruiting a week or so ago. 3 years ago I spread about 30 yards of mixed coniferous and decidious roadside chippings that the power company was nice enough to provide, at my parents house in Skagit County, Washington. Into these chippings I planted some spawn...

Hehe thanks Psilly. I tell you what, I have gotten high from picking mushrooms many times, but I have never gotten high from just looking at a patch. Thats the effect those babies have on me, plus they are much more odiferous that cyans, you can smell them before you see them.

Kudos Cardboard on your great discovery and find. Haven't seen that many of those in over 18 years. That is a truly amazing patch. One of the best I came across was a cluster with over 100 mushrooms in it. grouping together cepitose and as if one giant shroom. Sililar to some of the clusters of those yellow Naematolomas which also like alder adn maple and willow.

Have a most shroomy day. I would be interested in tradinge for a few prints if you can?

Thanks everyone, these cyanofibrillosa are truly a blessing. MJ, you can most definetly get yourself some prints. I will be posting more pictures of this fruiting as things progress and I sort through what else would make a decent shot. Shooting pics of fungii with a digital can be a fairly painful experiance.

cyanofibs are certainly a very special mushroom

be careful with them when they're fresh man, I ate 4 average sized ones the other day and was quite surprised by the strength :smile:. 

looks like it was worth the wait, none of the other species you had in there came up?
