Yes I meant September but november will be a better month to find many shrooms. Thanks for the correction the Puget Sound mycological show is October 18--19.

I'm still making plans. I haven't picked an exact date to fly out yet. I want my trip to the PNW to be at the best possible time. I'm guessing I'll buyn tickets for late obtober, but thats still tenative. I probably won't make the mycology show. But who knows, we'll see what happens.

See, that date jumped right out at me as wrong, because its me Birthday on the 29th of september. I couldn't have forgot my own birthday!

Oh yeah, been trying to get up there for 4-5 years now, and finally got the paid vacation and the money to do it. I am there!!!! Why? You gonna be my guide and give me a grand tour of seattle ?? Seriously, I'm looking for some folks to show me around, not just the mushrooms, I think I have a good idea where to find those, but the city and its sites. Any good hotel reccomendations? Something with a reasonable weekly fair.

wow, Lizard King is coming to town. Once you see those Cyans growing all over this city, you won't want to go back home!

This city is pricy for hotels though...

Let us know when you are coming. I'm sure DethHed, cardboard and I wouldn't mind sampling some of the northwests best microbrews while swapping our greatest hunting stories.

Mj, good find. I was hunting around the Issaquah area today and within an hour i had half a freezer bag full, approximately 300 ringers (P. stuntzii).  I must admit, it was a find i did not expect, seeing how it is so dry atm, but i'm pleased regardless . I do not have a digi cam, but I may post pics if you'd like via my friends cam. Some of them were bluing significantly, others only blued at the ring. Fresh, it is well over a pound ...  Keep your eyes peeled!

PS:  They were scattered in groups ranging from 5 - 50.
