L-Tryptophan

Materials
Brown rice
Vermiculite
Mushroom spores
5-litre Pyrex beaker
Small glass container
1cc syringe
Glass tube
Spray bottle
Disinfectant
Tin foil
Shoelace
Black bin liner
Snug blanket
1. Fill the beaker up to just under the 1 litre mark with vermiculite.
2. Coarsely grind 1 litre of rice (??? g) in the blender and add this to a bowl containing 3 litres of vermiculite (??? g). You may also wish to add a couple of teaspoons of L-Tryptophan if you havesome.
3. Pour 1 litre of water into the bowl and stir everything around until it is well mixed.
4. Add this to the beaker. Don?t bother to pat it down as you want there to be lots of air in substrate. This is good reason not to use too much rice or water.
5. Add another ? inch layer of vermiculite on top of this.
6. The beaker should fit in the oven but only just. Also put the glass tube in. Avoid direct contact with the ovens bottom. Turn it up to 170C for an hour and then turn off external heat and leave everything to cool for a few hours. (There are no germs in the oven but once you open the door there will be).
7.Add 2cm-boiling water to the small glass container.
8.Take the beaker out of the oven and place on the work surface.
9.Scrape a few shavings off the spore print using a knife that has only just been sterilised. Add these to the water only once it has cooled off. Squirt the solution in and out of the fresh syringe a few times and draw up 1 cm.
10. Stick the sterilised glass tube down the side of the beaker and inject a small amount of the solution down the tube. Repeat this three more times at opposite sites spaced as far apart as possible, and once in the centre of the substrate. The fluid runs down the beaker so don?t aim too low.
11. Spray the top layer with a few squirts of diluted disinfectant to deter the entry of any unwanted visitors. Loosely cover the lids with a layer of tin foil and tie it on with the shoelace. Put this in the bin bag to keep out the light and wrap the blanket around.
Germination should be fast and within four days you will be able to see things happening. This is actually a very laid back and easy process that did not call for any extreme measures, just a few stringent precautions. Still, you won?t be laughing if you fuck this one up so just don?t be too blas?.
After 1months wait you should have 4 litres of white marshmallow substrate material. The un-colonised vermiculite can be reused.
Anway this is the technique that I am using to germinate my spores.
I could'nt find anything on the search engine but It was postulated that L-Tryptophan increases the psilocybincontent of the shrooms. Some people said it did, other people said no.
I have some L-Tryptophan, what does this do for the shrooms?

Hey man hows it flowing
ya so the question at the bottom was what does L-trip do to the shrooms? well i can tell you breifly what it is supposed to do in theory. when the mycellium begins to form the primordia (shrooms) the roots suck theexisting nutrients from the substrate, L-trip in and of its self is a halucinigon. anyways when the primordia begin to form the mycelium sucks the L-trip up and adds its molecular compound to the number of phsyco active ingredient which are orally ingested in shrooms. The L-trip gets to the shroom through the cytoplasmic flow in the mycilia. that is the extent of what i have heard of it, ask the question in the advanced growers room if you havent already.

an amino acid, true. no effect, false.
by itself, ive never gotten anything but sleepy from l-tryp (5htp).
but slightly before, slightly after, or the next morning after mdma it kicks ass. boosts that seratonin level back closer to normal (or even higher if takin it while still high on mdma)

tryptophan/5htp is sometimes considered psychoactive because of the direct role they paly with serotonin levels in the brain (increasing them), and obviously, serotonin is a critical neurotransmitter for sleep and mood modulation, among other things.
