I'm using one of those as well. I was told that you can buy a timer at walmart pretty cheap. I haven't done that, but I asked someone to keep an eye on my stuff for me.

*thanks mom*

just get a timer with enough settings, youll need one with 24 with the setup you mentioned. then you can program it for ON 5min off 55min ... etc.

yeah agrees i do type kinda funky im catching on, lol...
well i have a 2.6 gallon chamber. im going to use just the ultra sonic, given a small area to fill with moister, it's to say i wouldn't need a cool mist, but then the kool mist puts out alot more moister..hope im coming through...:)im sure some will say use this use that refering to each type of humidifier. .. just throwing out some ideas..

An ultrasonic puts out far more moisture than a cool mist.  A cool mist is used for introducing moist fresh air.  You shouldn't say what you dont know djred but at least you're trying

Why use a humidifer instead of just hydroton/geolite/perlite? Wouldn't it be easier to fill up ur chamber w/ water every few days, and use the aquarium air pump tek?
