Warm Mist Humidifier Good!?!?

I was at Bed Bath & Beyond today lookin at some stuff and i happend to stumble upon a warm mist humidifier that was just outright tiny! The thing wieghed in at abt 4 lbs tops and it was like 5" high and 7" wide i mean it was tiny. I can think of a bunch of us who might need this. But here is my question, will a ultrasonic warm mist humidifier work to cultivate? ifso will it add humidity and heat to the terrarium/incubator? The price was $45.99 but well worth it if it will work, remember its ultrasonic warm mist humidifier. Well Scream at The Frog!!

I don't think they make ultra sonic warm mist humidifiers. I think you're mistaken. They have ultra sonics, and warms mists. It would defeat the purpose of having an ultra sonic if it was an ultrs sonic warm mist. Don't get it. If it says warm mist its gonna be too hot.

It has 2 settins and the name of it was Warm Mist Humidifier then i turn it to the side and read the side panel and it said how this humidifier combines the technology of a ultrasonic humidiifier and warm mist humidifier, so that means its a ultrasonic warm mist humidifier. Maybe its new or something, like i said up there it has a lo setting, u think its worth a shot or not even? cause that would help alot of peoples simple problem of humidity and heat togethor. Well?

I really don't know. I know a standard warm mist is too hot. You could try it out if you would like, but I wouldn't risk it. There are simple ways to solve both the humidity and heat problems without it.

I have a humidifier that's both a cool mist and ultrasonic. It says:
Sunbeam Ultrasonic"Cool Spray" Humidifier. It has a slider
marked "humidity level" and another marked "mist output".
There's a tek called "Cowboy's Kickass Fruiting Method",
that calls for a steam vaporizer, so, I'm sure there's a way
to make a "warm mist" do just what we need it to. You'd just
have to adjust the distance between the humidifier and the
terrarium to get the right temps. I'd say it would be especially
valueable to those in the north that are battling the cold.
Doesn't everyone try a few different setups looking for the
best results for their situation? Lighten up Numba9. We're
all learning here.:peace:

What you have is an ultrasonic humidifier.
Every ultrasonic humidifier has a ventilator too, same as the cool mist.
The ultrasonic produces the water mist using a fast oscilliting membrane(an ultrasonic membrane) and the mist is then driven out by the air stream and the cool mist produces the mist by rotating a impeller which sprays the water against a row of small pins and produces small droplets of mist this way.

The cool mist humidifier has more air output than the ultrasonic and they both have more air output than the warm mist(which only produces water steam if i?m not mistaken, and has no air output at all)

hey eatme. Did you ever finish that all in one terrarium? I only saw it while it was in the works. I was wondering if you got the plexi to bend over that curved surface.
If so would you post a picture of it and let us know how it works.

i still never completely finished it. i need to put the plexiglass on it and then finish the water sealing and caulking the corners. but the thing is i live at home (wit parents) and they know abt it, and said i can keep it and all but i can't grow in it till i get my own place, so i'm workin my ass off and trying to move out so i can fully use the machine and i wanna build a couple more. Trust me guys u r the first to see it in action don't worry, just gonna be a matter of time hopefully not longer then a couple of months. But another thing anno this ultrsonic humidifier i found is a warm mist not a cool mist.

Thanks Anno, I've been wondering about that and finally
got a straight answer. I took it apart to see if there was
a spinning disk(when I first got it) and as you know, there
wasn't. It has pretty good air output but, I think I'll seek out
a cool mist next time.:peace:
