Those resemble Copelandia Cyanescens, did the stems bruise blue?

May very well be active Copes, they grow in Eastern Australia.

The stem should bruise blue crazy if they are.

Spore print should also be dark / black.

They aren't copes.

Copes should brusie blue pretty fast, and intense. The gill color and spore print is off too.

They look like a common lawn mushroom. Nothing active.

Yep, I agree that these are not Panaelous or Copelandia. The spore print from what I've read should be jet black, if they are Panaelous or Copelandia.

I see this in cow fields in Louisiana all the time. They are distinguished from pans by their failure to blue, as well as the stem being a bit more stringy and pulling easier from the cap. They probably aren't poisonous but they aren't active either. However, since you do see those, keep an eye out in the same area for active pan cyans or copes. If it's in a field where there are cow patties, keep an eye out for cubes as well.

OOOPS. I missed something. Brown spore print. Just toss those puppies. The ones I see are black prints. Brown=bad in my book.

Looks like you might have Conocybe lactea, a common lawn mushroom.

Those look like Conocybes. Unfortunately, identification of Conocybes to species requires a microscope. There are also deadly poisonous species of Conocybe, so none of them should be eaten.

Happy mushrooming!

Thanks Everyone for your help. I will definently not eat them!

Your dead right too supernova. The stem is very stringy and easy to break and comes off the cap with utter ease!

Thought i would just check anyway....You never know

Thanks Everyone

Just to confer, i'm from east aus too and these babies grow right alongside cope. cyan. I've found that they're easily identified before picking by a slight shimmer or shine on the caps.

here are my pics....in the second one, note the colour of the gills changes as it ages with the darkest one being fallen over on it's fragile stem when I found them.....

.....maybe someone can explain to me please, how to get pictures up here instead of urls, thanks.

The mushrooms you posted are Conocybes. Not sure on the exact species, but the Conocybe genus does have several poisonous(some deadly) mushrooms. Do not eat!

I think Copelandia Cyanescens have black spores. Is that correct?
