What is a martha used for, fruiting? What is the Ideal way to use a martha, put shelves with perlite on them?

I'm back after 5 years!!!!

My cubes grow log (brf spawned poo) 6 years ago.

My outdoor grow log 6 years ago...

My pan cyans grow log from 2004!!

martha clothes tents are used as fruiting chambers, hook up an ultrasonic and a cool mist to it for humidity and air xchange. put a light above it. all on timers. tweak it. put some racks in it and case away. imho the best way to go.

Vicks AND a Ultrasonic. Cannot run it with just a Vicks, does not provide near enough humidity =(

george, i dont know what size marthas you have but a coolmist is a about as good as putting a fan inside. odissiues , leave the bottom open it will allow the co2 to escape, make sure the humidifier inputs are at the top.

I find that extreemly hard to believe. My humidity was still not high enough with an Ultrasonic on for 10 minutes every two hours, on full blast mind you. I bumped it up to 20. Magash runs his for 15 minutes every 2 hours.

I did run mine without an Ultrasonic before I installed it. Humidity was reaching, but it was no where optimal. Hell I had a hard time getting a 31 gallon rubbermaid optimal with a Coolmist alone.

But if you say it works I stand corrected. Just would like to see someones grow with just a cool mist alone O_o.



As for the bottom of your Martha, cut holes on each section, in the middle. Tape up all the vent holes that come with the Martha. Get something to put under the holes you cut. This will drain the excess moisture and vent out co2 at the same time.

for me the coolmist alone wasnt enough to keep RH up past 70, I have to have the ultrasonic on every 3 hours for 30 mins, keeps it around 85-90. As for the bottom I used plastic sheeting and duct tape to seel it off, just to be safe, then I added a filter disk hole in the bottom for CO2 to go bye bye.

Oh yeah and if your ultrasonic bites the dust as mine just has, a large pan of wet perlite has been able to make up for the difference for the most part.

The bottom of your Martha is open? I dont think you have a Martha then =)

There are four vent holes in the Martha. Two on the top side, and two on the bottom side. Neither can drain water. You cover these up and cut your own holes for drainage.

yeah mine isnt the martha brand its the sears version of it. it was a board that goes in bottom, but Im not using it, also the top cloth which I covered from the inside with plastic. It was a pain in the ass and I woul;d recomend the actual martha model to anyone trying to make one.
