Custom made humidifer appliance timers. (for all those with a soggy martha)

Here is the write-up i promised for the timer my buddy made me for my martha setup. To re-hash, here was the problem. The only timer i could find in retail shops was the DT17 from homedepot for 20 bucks. This timer only allows for 14 on/off setting pairs per day. This means i'd have to power on my ultrasonic for like 10 minutes every 1.7 hours. I soon learned that this was inadequate. Everything was drenched with water and my casings got soggy(not to mention the puddle at the bottom). Apparently, having the ultrasonic on in my martha for over 2 minutes makes it very wet inside and a breading ground for mold and what not. So realizing the problem, i set out to find a short-interval appliance timer for my ultrasonic. Of course, i never did find a timer that could do that for under $200. My buddy, who is an electronics whizz, said that he could build such a device for me, and he did just that. Keep in mind that it's handmade, but handmade by a pro. Mine works great! This timer keeps my martha from getting a watery mess by only running my ultrasonic 1.5 minutes every 15 minutes. Highly recommended!
Note: I still use the crappy DT17 timer for a cheap $7 fan i got from walmart(for FAE).
If you end up going this route, there is NO need for a coolmist and NO need to modify your ultrasonic.... just stick it on a middle shelf. The fan and ultrasonic(with the this timer) makes for the perfect environment.
shroomz_timer@yahoo.com is his email, contact him for orders. He'll add them to his electronics website/ebay store soon as well.

You'll have to work it out with him, somewhere around 40 bucks.
