Please help! looking for cyans

OK, I'm sure this is not in any FAQs or anything...what are the ideal weather/climate conditions for hunting, aside from rain? It has been raining here every couple days or so, and the low temps are ranging between 40 and 50 degrees F. Lots of nonctives are popping up in cyanny looking places and it seems about the right time. Does the dew point have anything to do with when they pop up? Humidity? etc? any input appreciated!

You are in the Northwest, correct? Any temperature between 40 and 65 is fine for Cyans (from my experience). Humidity definately helps them grow, the more the better! They are out in full force in Oregon and Washington and you shouldnt have too much trouble finding some.

I'd say if its a normal fall in the nw its good hunting, they mature slowly, so I doubt there is ever a point when they are not abundant, just get huntin.

F'ing shit. Cyans need to give it up for the Northern Californians damn it! Where the fuck is alder? I'm launching a blitzkrieg on all the cities' lawns and people's yards! I will find these enthralling mushrooms, or at least some Datura to induce insanity for 2 days!

LMFAO! I drank datura tea once. Let's just say I'll never do it again...serious though, we do need those cyans. So much rain last night, temp seemed right...I guess the ground just needs a reeeeaaal thorough soaking and that must be the key to the start of the season. Like when the soil is approaching field capacity so the spores/mycellium can leach up to the surface?? I've been checking around alder groves, blackberries, ivy patches, and beaches, but not too much in town seeing as I have trouble finding the right woodchips...there are plenty of woodchips aroung the local school, I just don't think they are alder...just gotta keep at it and we shouldn't have to wait much longer!

Don't pass up blackberry bushes. I've found two seperate patches this fall, already. Both were under blackberry bushes. Nice patches. I picked about ten from both, and each had maybe about 50 shrooms. I'll be going back to these patches all season and maybe for a couple years. Also, try newly developed areas of small cities, or suburbs. Sometimes they use alder mulch for landscaping planters and what-not. I found some baeos in a planter of a Wally World about a week ago.
