Mycelium Growth Stalled - HELP! 1

I have eight jars that appear to have stalled mycellium growth. They are each between 30-50% colonized, and are not continuing growth. The edges of the mycelium are beginning to take on a clear color (not the aggressive rhizomorphic pattern). How do I kick start these puppies back to growth? Inject water? Aerate it somehow? I have no idea and need some suggestions. Thanks a lot, Jody

Put the jars in a warm dark place AND STOP LOOKING AT THEM EVERY 2 HOURS TO SEE IF THERE IS A CHANGE. Do not attempt to do anything yes they probably have not stopped growing is just looking at them all the time the will always look the same be patient

do you have tape on the jars? if so remove the tape. Have you flipped the jars yet? if not, place a newspaper on the table. Put your jar upside down and whaqck it flat onto the paper. This should dislodge the cake. If you have done this already, follow Dmitri's advice; keep them around 85 deg in the dark!

They have been in the jars, in a dark place, UNDISTURBED for about 4 weeks now. 30-50% colonized.

Stalled growth almost always means dry substrate. What is your relative humidity and temperature for incubation? Hot and dry will dry out your jars.

The substrate does look SOMEWHAT dry, but not bad at all. Temp is between 80-85 degs. Located in Florida so humidity is always pretty high. Is there a way to introduce more moisture to the cake? -Jody

you could just get sterile water and inject it through your holes with a needle and syringe, but the problem with this is it could fuck everything up if you get a contam...

If you whack it against the table and the substrate drops away from the bottom of the jar, it creates a little vacuum and pulls in air through the top vermiculite layer with force. I introduced some green contaminant this way. Be careful.

Flip your jars and boost the temps somehow, like with a heating pad or something. And for God sake, QUIT looking at your jars every 30 seconds, things will be fine. PEACE HeGz
