Ok. I HAVE GOT A PROBLEM. U see, I have on pf-jar, nearly 100% colonised, but the 3 others, inoculated the same day with the same sub, etc, are already fruiting!!! Problem: its on the bottom, there a bit a squashed brf, and the mlycelium is trying like hell to colonise it, but its seem pretty hard!!! And, the jar is nearly covered in pinheads!! What do I do?, birth it? wait? case? HELP ME!!
PS: its not my fault if there is some squased brf, a little blue guy came along and prssed the top vermi layer to much!!

i think you are asking since this one cake is not quite yet fully colonized and is already pinning, whether or not you should birth it regardless if it is fully colonized or not... i think you may as well birth it---be very clean with this one, and cut off the non-colonized part and chuck it. it sounds like it is very dry, or too packed and won't colonize well anyway. should be fine.

My friend says dont birth it. He says flip the jar upside down and tap it so the cake falls to what was the top. also remove any tape if it is still on. it should finish colonizing in a few days.

are you saying you've already flipped it and removed tape?
or are you saying the cake is stuck and you can't flip it?

Tape has been removed a long time ago, and the cake is STUCK to the bottome cos of that f***in' brf.

Put some newspapers on the table, Turn your jar upside down and whack it onto the newspapers once or twice. see it this helps. If not you may need to surgically remove it... If you end up doing this be sure to scrape any uncolonized substrate off of the cake.
