can karo be stored?

I've saved colonized jars for several months, and used them to do g2g transfers or just fruit them w/o any problems...

i was just wondering if karo can be saved similarly, or if you need to use is pretty quick?

Karo wont last as long, because it as less nutes. But people have used Karo jars after months and had no problems. I guess it all boils down to, how much karo did you initially put in =)

You can also make it last longer by making a jar of fresh karo-water, sucking that up into the syringe and shooting it into your karo myc jar every time you pull some out. This will give it more nutes and allow it to last longer.

The problem I believe isn't the nutes, its just the myc won't last. I remember reading someones experiments but he couldn't get the liquid culture to last beyond something like 6 months.

A fresh karo jar should always be kept to replace liquid culture you take out so the myc consumes the new stuff and you don't run out of myc.
