PLEASE HELP...Honey and Karo Tek

I have a question:
I made a two half pint jars, one with honey and the other with karo light. Both Jars recieved 100ML's of water and 1/2 a teaspoon honey/karo. Preasure cooked for 45 mins at 15psi. I let them cool overnight and then innoculated them both with the last of my spores 3 cc's each. The problem is I had to leave out of town and instructed my roomate to swish them around after a few days in the incubator. He swished them every single day, it has been 8 days now and I see no sighns of heathly growth i.e.(nice fluffy clouds) there is some sediment on the bottoms but it is very hard to tell what it is, if anything. Did swirrling them everyday kill the growth? Or what...anyone every experienced anything similar?? Thank you all for your help. Your great. ~Sad guy in the desert.

I don't swirl them every day, but I doubt this killed them. You mention some sediment appearing in the bottom of the jars. This could very well be either contamination or mycelial growth. Give it time and see. It should soon be obvious!

Yes there is some sediment at the bottom, but it does not look like mycleium, but then again this is after being stirred. But it does not look "dirty" like green or black more like a light tan color. Do you think if I leave them in the incubator for another week or so and just left them alone they would grow into a nice fluffy mycelial peice floating in there? Or what? I have only seen a few pics of this tek. Thanks for your help.

Leaving it for a week sounds like the best plan. It should look something like this if it?s the right stuff:

I did the same thing, cept I only used honey... The first jar I tried got contaminated I could tell by the smell... If you can do it safly, open up one of the jars and take a whiff. It should smell bad if its contaminated. The second jar did exactly what yours is doing, so I left it alone for a few days... Next time I checked on it, there was a "bunch" of mycelium in it, but I needed the jar so I just sucked what I could out with a syringe Hope yours turns out better than mine did

Sounds like you might have caramelised your honey or karo. I think you pc'd it for too long at too high a temperature. 30 minutes max is needed.
