business questions

questions for vendors: don't be alarmed or feel threatened, i have no intention to enter the business and compete for customers, so please answer these questions, i'm just interested in your busines plan, legal aspects...
also, i'm not a government employee trying to bust in on you...
is your business legitimate (do report profits to the gov't via tax info, are you incorporated...) or underground?
it seems obvious that to provide the quantity of prints/syringes that you do, you must cultivate mushrooms yourselves. how do you get around the legal aspects? claim that you printed them in the field?
have you sought out legal advice/protection in case the government does take interest (which they don't seem to have done as of yet) in mushroom cultivation?
are your businesses profitable/do you just get by, etc...?
my interest in the answers to these questions and the business in general is genuine, i hope that you will answer them honestly.
really, this could be a chance for you to explain your motives/business philospohy/process, etc... and make yourselves look good to the consuming public
thanks in advance

OK for starters, I grow gourmets and report the income from my spore business as profit from that business.
I do not grow personally but I do know several people that do and exchange expertise and labwork for spores.
As for the pofitability of this business...I won't be retiring anytime soon LOL
I have been growing mushrooms for several years and when I got online I discovered the sporevendor market. I just saw what was out there and figured "hey, I can do that better"
There is nothing wrong with the other reputable vendors products but I figured there was room in the market for my style of syringes.
Hope this answers your questions

thanks very much for your response. i was afraid that due to the personal nature of the questions no one would respond.
recently, i posted to the medicinal/gourmet board with similar inquiries, here's the original post cut/paste style:
is there anyone active in this forum who grows eddible mushrooms on the small commercial scale for local distribution?
i would very much like to know and ask them a few quick questions.
thanks
gray1
more specifically, what is your market like, who do you distribute to, quantity, fda/boh regulations or guidlines you must comply to, etc...
since you produce eddibles, would you mind answering those questions as well? (basically, describe your business)
thanks very much, i'm interested to hear more.
