cutting a pf cake in two and dunking

im getting ready to dunk my pint size pf cake after its second flush. do you guys think itd be cool to cut it in half . for some reason the bottom is trying like hell the pin. I flushing it on its side because there are large fruitbodies on each end.

My friend has cut a cake in half , just to see whats gonna happen, and untill now it is pinning like crazy, but not in the insides(the part that got exposed from the cut).
I say, go for it!

thanx... it started pinnining off the botto m like crazy. vemaculite is working like a casing layer.. gotten 20 pins or so since i turned it upside down. ive already fruited the cake twice off the top and its always wanted to grow off the bottom
