substrate depth

a friend has noticed, after a bit of experience, that a deeper substrate produces larger fruits. THis may seem obvious to some out there but he has just started criticing his techs so to all those out there who are new, deeper is sometimes better

Your friend is right. Reason; more available nutrients for the same fruiting area.

What exactly do you mean with "deeper substrate"?
The only thing I can think of is that you have put the substrate in a taller jar, and that way get a taller cake.

But it sounds a little bit strange... Could anyone please explain what you mean with "deeper substrate"?

Mr "Don?t have a signature (yet)".
